Rosamund Pike
Born in 1979 in London, England, actress Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike was the only child of a classical violinist mom, Caroline (Friend), and a opera father of a singer, Julian Pike. The couple worked hard and she traveled extensively across Europe in her early years. Pike was born in Bristol and went to Badminton School. She then began acting in the National Youth Theatre. Pike first appeared in the National Youth Theatre production "Romeo and Juliet". She was then signed by an agent after she was discovered. Pike also began acting at the National Youth Theatre. Though her debut was a high-budget action movie but the film subsequent work was mostly in smaller, independent films, including Promised Land (2004), The Libertine (2004), (for which she received the Best Supporting Actress award at The British Independent Film Awards), and Pride & Prejudice (2005) in the role of one of the Bennet daughters.
