Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was conceived in Ottawa,
Ontario, Canada, 27 August 1976. Her parents are Angie Chalke and Doug Chalke.
She is the middle child having an older sister, Natasha Chalke, and one
younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah began her acting career in a television film, City
Boy (1992). After her debut film, Sarah auditioned in 1993 for the role
"Becky" from Roseanne (1988). After Alicia Goranson left the show to
go to college the show was in search for an alternative. Sarah completed her
high school degree in 1995 and began filming the 1994-95 Roseanne (1988)
season. In 1994, Sarah starred alongside Jim Varney in Ernest Goes to School
(1994). She starred in Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand against Fear(1996).
In these films she played the part of Krista Wilson and was who was a
cheerleader. In 1998, a year after Roseanne (1988) was finished, Sarah was
asked to perform in a show titled Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998). The
show was based on a TV movie of the same name which was called Nothing Too Good
for a Cowboy (1998) in which Sarah was also a part of. In 1993, she took over
Becky's role on Roseanne (1988). Said she would like to quit acting and go to
college. 2001 (1993-1997) She was Sara Gilbert's older sibling on Roseanne
(1988), however she's actually younger. Participated in the 1999 CCMA Awards
ceremony, and was awarded the prize for the most memorable single. September
1999 8 appeared in Vancouver theater productions. The actress is fluent in
French, German and Spanish. She works at hospices that provide care to sick
children who are terminally ill. Chalke is a cook who enjoys cooking with
companions, particularly Thai as well as sushi and playing the guitar. She also
likes to ski (she is an instructor), kayaking, snowboarding as well as reading.
Her father is an attorney, and both parents operate an agency for adoption of
children. Her parents brought her to China to facilitate the adoptions of
multiple orphans.
