Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zurer is one of Israel's most
acclaimed actresses. Her birthplace is in Tel Aviv and was first discovered by
Hollywood when Steven Spielberg cast her in her first role in English as Eric
Bana's wife in Munich (2005). Zurer has been featured in numerous Studio films
since her arrival in the United States, including Sony Pictures' Vantage Point
which starred William Hurt and Dennis Quaid, Samuel Goldwyn's Fugitive Parts
opposite Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader’s Adam Resurrected alongside Jeff Goldblum,
and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons opposite Tom Hanks. Darling
Companion is an ensemble movie by Lawrence Kasdan which features Diane Keaton
and Kevin Kline. Warner Bros. Man Of Steel together with Russell Crow. She also
filmed Rodrigo Garcia, Last days in the desert with Ewan McGregor while waiting
for the release date of the movie The Last Knights by the Japanese director
Kazuaki Kiriya, who is also starring Clive Owen. She recently won the Gold
Nymph Award for Outstanding actress in a Drama Series at the 54th Festival of
Television of Monte-Carlo. She was recognized for her part in the TV show
"Hostages". Ayelet was nominated for the Israeli Film and Television
Academy Award for her role in Nina's Tragedies. She also received nominations
for her performance in the feature films Only Dogs Run Free, The Dybbuk from
the Holy Apple Field, Desperado, and Rutenberg. She was the winner of the Haifa
International Film Festival critic award and also received a star on Haifa's
"film boulevard" for her local and international achievements. Zurer
was awarded the Israeli Television Academy Award for her role in "In
Treatment" that is an internationally acclaimed television show that has
been made available for American TV by HBO. In 2014, she was nominated apposite
herself for the year's top drama "Shtisel" and was awarded the title
of best actress in a show for her portrayal of a brilliant surgeon facing the
dilemma of life and death in Hostages which was sold to BBC4 and Canal Plus,
and as an alternative to the American ABC. Golbary is among Israel's top
fashion brands for women. It's the "face" of Golbary. Ayelet is a
producer and writer. Ayelet is working on several projects in Israel and the
USA. She expressed desire to collaborate internationally with directors from
around the world since she believes in collaborating with writers and directors
who are not well-known.
