Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born on the 12th of May, 1972. She is well-known for her character as attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she has been recognized with the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series, Miniseries, or Television Film. The show also starred her in the NBC's Whitney (2011)-2013 as well as ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004 and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12 in 1972. Her mother was the executive assistant for the United States Navy, while her father was an agent in the Naval Investigative Service; her family was frequently moved during her early years, including Washington, D.C. and Arizona and also in Japan. Since the age of a child, she was inspired by her grandfather and grandmother to study drawing, painting and architecture. She continued to pursue the visual arts, but had an interest in acting that was growing and was introduced to contemporary theater in college. She received a BA degree in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. Seehorn, who was in college and was looking to enter theater after being urged by her acting instructor. To get noticed she did other roles in D.C.'s theater industry. She was able to secure some important part in local theater productions. But she required odd jobs to make ends meet. To pay her bills she was also able to take on the roles of short industrial instructional films. Then she was part of more television productions. It was common for her to be compared to Bea Arthur, who was described by her as "very funny," "sarcastic, and well-educated" women. These roles were usually cancelled after only one to two seasons. Seehorn was chosen to play Kim Wexler in the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn is Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love interest for Saul Goodman, the aforementioned Jimmy McGill.
